MenuManager By Chuck Williams
Welcome to the MM Demo
MenuManager is a content management system for restaurants, allowing you to display your menu on your website. Menumanager can be configured, using cascading style sheets, to graphically match an already existing website, or a new design can be created and a complete site built around the menu display system.
The MenuManger administration pages allow you to control the contents of the menu without the aid of a web designer and without any knowledge of HTML coding. You can add new menu items, edit existing items, add photos, update prices, delete items and more.
A typical menu consists of any number of pages that can be accessed individually from a popup box (in this demo, the popup is accessed by placing the cursor over the Sample Menu link in the left sidebar). Within each page, the menu items are grouped into sections, or categories.
Administration Pages
In this demo site, you may view the admin pages by clicking the link in the sidebar. However, in a real site, this link is not available to the public. These pages are password protected, but for the demo, a username and password are pre-typed. Just click the Enter button.
The admin section consists of two basic pages.
Manage Pages and Categories - There are actually two versions of this page. The basic version displays a simple list of the pages in the site, and the categories within each page. Clicking the Show Details link at the top will cause the page to display all of the menu items within each category.
Links located on this page will allow the admin to add new pages, edit existing page names, add categories to pages, and edit the category info. Moving a page up or down simply changes the order that it appears in the popup nav box. Moving a category up or down controls the order that it appears within the menu page. Clicking the Edit Items link takes the admin to the Manage Menu Items page.
Manage Menu Items - This page allows you to control the information provided for the individual items on the menu. It is designed to look exactly like the actual menu page, except for a few small differences. The admin page only displays the items from a single category. In addition, the items appear with one-letter links that allow you to move them up or down within the category, edit the info, add a photo, or delete the item.
